Syracuse men's soccer is set to take on New Hampshire in its 2026 home opener at 5 p.m. at the SU Soccer Stadium on Sunday, Aug. 23. Fans unable to attend can stream the match live on ACCNX.

Syracuse–UNH Series
Syracuse is 0-1-1 all-time against UNH, with the Orange falling 3-0 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Nov. 19, 2023, at Wildcat Stadium. In their first meeting, the teams played to a 2-2 draw on Sept. 8, 2019, at SU Soccer Stadium.

Syracuse Status
Sophomore newcomer Jordan Grey and freshman Gabriel Oksanen were the difference-makers for Syracuse in their 2-1 ranked win at No. 24 UConn to open the season on Thursday night. Grey opened the scoring in the 28th minute, finishing off a play started by Sachiel Ming and Nathan Scott to give the Orange a 1-0 lead. Grey then turned provider in the second half, setting up Oksanen for the eventual game-winner in the 72nd minute, doubling Syracuse's advantage.

Junior midfielder Kelvin Da Costa was named to the 2026 ACC Preseason Watch List after a breakout sophomore season. He made 17 starts in 18 appearances, logging 1,366 minutes and recording one goal and two points.

New Hampshire Status
The Wildcats bring back 10 players from a year ago and add 17 newcomers to the roster. UNH has won four America East titles (2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022) and made eight NCAA Tournament appearances (1994, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023).

UNH was picked 3rd in the 2026 America East Preseason Poll by the league's head coaches, with junior defender Max Voigt (Oberkotzau, Germany) and sophomore forward Xahvi DeRoza (Warwick, Bermuda) named to the Preseason All-Conference Team.

Voigt, a two-time America East All-Conference Second Team honoree and the 2024 Rookie of the Year. DeRoza recorded two goals and two assists.
