After helping lead the Syracuse women's rowing team to its best finish in program history at the NCAA Championships, a trio of Orange student-athletes have earned CRCA All-America honors.
Acorn Cassidy, Ellie-Kate Hutchinson and Kateryna Ustiuzhanina were named to the second team of the CRCA-Pocock All-America team. All three were previously named All-ACC selections this season – with Hutchinson earning first-team honors and Cassidy and Ustiuzhana placing on the second team.
In order to earn All-America distinction, a student-athlete must have spent 75-percent or more of the season in a team's 1V8 boat. There are 20 rowers and three coxswains named to each of the first and second teams.
The group helped Syracuse to a ninth-place finish as a boat at the NCAA Championships. 'Cuse also finished fourth as a team at the ACC Championships, while the Varsity 8 was also fourth as a boat.
