5/20/2026 4:37:00 PM | Women's Rowing
Syracuse women's rowing alumnae Emmie Frederico and Kamile Kralikaite are set to compete at the 2026 World Rowing Cup I from May 29-31 in Seville, Spain. Both will represent their native countries in the women's pairs event, with Frederico racing for Australia and Kralikaite for Lithuania.
Frederico was part of the 2024 ACC Championship team and was named First Team All-ACC and a Second Team All-American in the same season. She was a member of the Varsity Eight during the historic season, also finishing eighth at the NCAA Championships to be tied for the second-best finish in the event in program history. Frederico earned Bronze with Australia in the 2025 World Rowing Cup I in the women's eight.
Kralikaite was also a member of the 2024 Varsity Eight which helped earn the program's first ever ACC Championship and earned All-America as well as First Team All-ACC honors. She has represented Lithuania on the international stage in the 2024 Olympics as well as the 2025 Senior World Championships among other events.
The World Rowing Cup series is an annual set of regattas serving as a key step in the lead-up to the World Rowing Championships. Over three days of racing, crews progress from heats through to finals, competing in the 12 Olympic boat classes alongside selected international events. Points are awarded in each Olympic class, with the highest-ranked crew per country earning points towards the overall World Rowing Cup standings, contributing to the season-long competition.
