
Men’s Lacrosse at Six Heading to Postseason

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – With the 2026 ACC Men's Lacrosse Tournament on the horizon, Syracuse University men's lacrosse checks in at number six in both major polls this week.
After falling at top-ranked Notre Dame over the week, the Orange (11-4) slipped one spot in both the USILA Division I Coaches Poll and the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll after spending two weeks at number five.
Syracuse picked up 465 points in the USILA Coaches Poll this week, entering the postseason, 15 points behind its next opponent, North Carolina, in fifth. Notre Dame remained at the top with 598 points and 28 of the 30 first-place votes. Princeton was second with 569 points and the remaining top selections. Richmond was third with 515 points with Cornell in fourth with 483 points.
On the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll, Syracuse garnered 334 points, just 21 points behind No. 5 North Carolina. Notre Dame was first with 436 points and 18 first-place votes with Princeton in second with 417 points and the final four first-place votes. Richmond was third overall with 396 points with Cornell in fourth with 362 points.
Thirteen regular season opponents were mentioned in the USILA Coaches Poll this week: No. 1 Notre Dame, No. 2 Princeton, No. 5 North Carolina, No. 7 Johns Hopkins, No. 8 Virginia, No. 10 Georgetown, No. 11 Maryland, No. 12 Duke, No. 13 Harvard, No. 19 Penn, No. 20 Boston University, with Saint Joseph's and Denver receiving votes this week.
