
Tobiason Joins Orange Men's Basketball

Aiden Tobiason, a 6-5, 200 guard who spent the past two seasons at Temple, has accepted a written offer of athletic aid to Syracuse, and will transfer to join the Orange.

A prep standout at St. Elizabeth High School (Del.), Tobiason was a regular contributor at Temple for two campaigns.

TOBIASON AT ST. ELIZABETH
Tobiason played for Delaware High School power St. Elizabeth and Coach Mike Cassidy. He was named the 2024 Delaware State Player of the Year by the Delaware Sportswriters and Broadcasters Association. Tobiason was first team All-State and the Diamond State Athletic Conference (DSAC) Player of the Year. He was named the most valuable player of the Viking Invitational. Tobiason averaged 18.8 points per game in 2023-24.

The Vikings were 21-2 and reached the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) state tournament semifinals before being eliminated by Salesianum School, 65-51. Tobiason had a season-high 30 points in a regular-season victory against Salesianum School. He scored 20-or-more points 12 times.

TOBIASON AT TEMPLE (2024-26)
He was a key performer from the moment he stepped on campus at Temple. Tobiason started 22-of-27 games in his freshman season and averaged 4.8 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. He was named to the American Conference All-Freshman Team. The Owls were 17-15 overall and 9-9 in the American Athletic Conference.

Tobiason made a big jump in his second campaign, upping his averages to 15.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. He was one of two players to start all 32 contests. Tobiason scored in double figures in 27 of the games and topped 20 points seven times during the year. He had a career-best 27 points in a victory against East Carolina.

He finished 14th in scoring average (15.3 ppg.), fourth in field goal percentage (.480), 10th in free throw percentage (.800) and fifth in minutes per game (35.3) among American Athletic Conference players. Temple finished the year 16-16 overall and 8-10 in the league.
