Syracuse To Host Lafayette On Nov. 21

Syracuse and Lafayette are scheduled to meet on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2026, in the JMA Wireless Dome.
The Syracuse-Lafayette Series
     Former Syracuse standout Gerry McNamara enters his initial year at the helm of his alma mater. McNamara spent the last two seasons in charge at Siena, where he led the Saints to the 2026 NCAA Tournament.
     The Orange have two returning regulars, sophomores Kiyan Anthony (8.0 ppg., 1.4 rpg.) and Sadiq White Jr. (6.1 ppg., 3.3 rpg.). A group of six incoming transfers includes Temple guard Aiden Tobiason (15.3 ppg., 3.7 rpg.), a junior, and guard Gavin Doty (18.0 ppg., 6.9 rpg.), a junior and 2025-26 MAAC First Team honoree at Siena.
Lafayette
     Lafayette was 11-21 overall and 8-10 in the Patriot League last season. The Leopards improved as the season went on and won six of their last 10 contests. Mike McGarvey is in his fifth year as Lafayette head coach.
     Sophomore forward Shareef Jackson (10.0 ppg., 5.0 rpg.), who started 30 games last year, is a top returning player for the Leopards. He led the team in field goal percentage (.571) and blocked shots (24).
