
Dual Joins Syracuse Men's Basketball

Garwey Dual, a 6-5, 205 guard who played for McNeese last season, has accepted a written offer of athletic aid to Syracuse, and will transfer to join the Orange.
Dual started 17 of 34 contests for McNeese in 2025-26 and averaged 8.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game. The Cowboys were 28-6 overall and 19-3 in the Southland Conference. McNeese won the Southland Conference Championship and earned an NCAA Tournament berth.

Dual was part of an 18-6 team that reached the sectional finals at Carmel.
DUAL AT SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ACADEMY (2022-23)
He averaged 16.0 points, 7.0 assists and 3.0 steals in one season at Southern California Academy. Dual attended the Nike Hoop Summit and played for the World Team in April 2023. He was ranked 37th by ESPN.com, 35th by Rivals.com and 48th by 247Sports.com in the Class of 2023. Dual was rated four stars by all three services.

DUAL AT PROVIDENCE (2023-24)
He played in 33 contests, including six as a starter, at Providence. Dual averaged 3.3 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game. The Friars were 21-14 overall, 10-10 in the BIG EAST Conference and reached the semifinals of the BIG EAST Tournament. Providence earned a berth in the NIT.

Dual made 22 starts in 30 appearances at Seton Hall. He contributed averages of 5.4 points, 1.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.7 steals for the Pirates. Seton Hall finished the year with a 7-25 record.

He was named to the Southland Conference All-Defensive Team. Dual was among Southland Conference leaders (conference games only) in assist/turnover ratio (2nd/2.58), assists (5th/148), assist average (5th/4.4), steals (5th/55), and steals per game (6th/1.7). He posted double-digit scoring efforts in 12 games.
