2/4/2026 6:15:00 PM | Women's Basketball
The Syracuse Orange (18-4, 8-3 ACC) head to Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, on Thursday, February 5, to face Boston College (4-20, 0-11 ACC) in an ACC matchup at Conte Forum. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. ET on ACCNX.
Syracuse enters Thursday's contest riding a two-game winning streak following victories over Georgia Tech and Miami. The Orange have won six of their last eight meetings against the Eagles and hold a commanding 40-28 all-time advantage in the series. Head coach Felisha Legette-Jack owns a 6-2 record against Boston College counterpart Joanna Bernabei-McNamee.
The Orange have exceeded expectations this season after being picked 13th in the ACC Preseason Poll, currently sitting third in the conference standings. Syracuse boasts a balanced offensive attack led by Laila Phelia (14.6 ppg) and freshman sensation Uche Izoje (14.2 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 2.7 bpg). Izoje is one of the top freshman in the nation is a six-time ACC Rookie of the Week that has recorded 10 double-doubles and leads the conference in blocks per game.
Junior Sophie Burrows (10.8 ppg) and graduate transfer Dominique Darius (13.1 ppg) provide additional firepower, while Darius recently earned USBWA National Player of the Week honors after hitting the game-winning shot in triple overtime against California and scoring a career-high 26 points versus Stanford.
Syracuse dominates on the glass, averaging an ACC-best 17.4 offensive rebounds per game and ranking 13th nationally in total rebounding (43.1 rpg). The Orange's physical style and depth have been key to their success, with Coach Jack's "go-to team" approach resulting in nine games this season with four or more players scoring in double figures.
A victory would improve Syracuse to 19-4 overall and 9-3 in ACC play, further solidifying their NCAA Tournament resume as they continue their impressive season.Â
The Orange return home on Sunday, Feb. 8 when they host #6 Louisville for National Girls and Women in Sports Day. The backcourt will be open for preg-game activities at 11 a.m. and tipoff is slated for noon on The CW. At halftime, the Orange will honor Kathrine Switzer when they raise her 261 Boston Marathon bib into the JMA Wireless Dome rafters. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting cuse.com/basketballtickets.Â
