Syracuse (16-4, 6-3 ACC) returns to the JMA Wireless Dome on Thursday night seeking its third consecutive home victory when it hosts Georgia Tech (9-12, 4-5 ACC) at 6 p.m. on ACCNX.
The Orange are coming off a 77-71 overtime loss at North Carolina on Sunday, where freshman Uche Izoje delivered a career-high 27 points and 12 rebounds. Despite the setback, Syracuse remains one of the ACC's top teams and has been dominant at home this season with a 12-2 record in the JMA Wireless Dome. Head coach Felisha Legette-Jack's squad has built an impressive 49-16 home record during her four-year tenure.
Georgia Tech enters Thursday's matchup struggling at 9-12 overall under first-year head coach Karen Blair, who faces off against Legette-Jack for the first time since taking over the Yellow Jackets program. The series history favors Georgia Tech 7-6 overall, but Syracuse has owned the home court advantage with a 5-2 record against the Yellow Jackets in the Dome. The teams last met on January 2, 2025, when Georgia Tech claimed an 85-68 victory at McCamish Pavilion.Â
Syracuse's balanced attack has been a hallmark this season, with the Orange posting nine games featuring four or more players in double figures. Izoje (14.5 ppg) leads the team in scoring and is joined by Laila Phelia (13.8 ppg), Dominique Darius (13.0 ppg) and Sophie Burrows (10.4 ppg) who all average double figures.Â
The Orange will look to capitalize on their strength in the paint, where they lead the ACC and rank fourth nationally in offensive rebounds per game at 17.8. A victory would improve Syracuse to 17-4 overall and 7-3 in conference play while extending their home winning streak to three games.
