Track Heads to Pair of Weekend Meets

The Syracuse track and field teams will compete in a pair of meets, with Orange distance runners competing at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, and sprinters heading to Clemson for the Tiger Paw Invitational.

Drew Zundell, Charles Guerrera and Asher Danielson kick things off for the orange Friday at 3:50 p.m. in the men's mile.Â
At 4:20 p.m. Tristan Thurneysen will compete in the men's 3k. Â
Syracuse has ten runners featured at 4:30 p.m. in the men's 5k, Peter Walsdorf, Assaf Harari, Ben Gabelman, Connor Ackley, Louis Small, Julian Franjieh, Sam Ricchiuti, Omar Alsaidi, Ruben Rojas Betanzos and Connell Alford.Â
Saturday begins when Beatriz Fernandez, Maisie Burns and Sarah Lawson run in the women's 3k race at 4:40 p.m.Â
The Orange have five runners competing at 4:52 p.m. in the women's 5k, Emma Eastman, Madeline Heintz, Jayden Harberts, Gretta Johnson and Mackenzie Cook.Â

Jamir Brown will compete at 11:45 a.m. for the men in the 60-meter hurdles with the semis at 1:35 p.m. and the finals at 4:25 p.m.Â
At 12:10 p.m., Indie Wallace-Persaud in the women's 60-meter dash. Â
On Saturday, Wallace-Persaud will compete alongside Nicea Jones and Sierra Joseph again at 12:25 p.m. in the 200-meter dash.
