Syracuse wide receiver Umari Hatcher has been named the ACC Receiver of the Week for the second time this season, the conference announced Monday.
Â
Hatcher turned in a career-best showing against Louisville, hauling in 13 passes for 224 yards and a touchdown. His yardage total is the fourth most by any FBS player this season, and his 13 receptions are the third most. Among ACC players, his 13 catches are the most in a game this season, and his 224 yards are second only to Miami's Malachi Toney, who had 234 against Stanford.
Â
The 224 yards are the eighth 200-yard receiving game in Syracuse program history and the first since Amba Etta-Tawo posted 270 against UConn in 2016. It was also Hatcher's third consecutive game with at least 100 receiving yards.
Â
Hatcher previously won the conference's weekly award when he logged 152 yards and three touchdowns on 12 catches against UConn. The second ACC honor adds to a growing list of recognition for Hatcher this fall. Earlier Monday, he was tabbed the Shriners Children's East-West Bowl Offensive Player of the Week and he is also on the Biletnikoff Award Watch List.
Â
Syracuse and Hatcher travel to Chapel Hill, N.C., to face North Carolina on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 7:30 p.m. with the game set to air on ACC Network.
Â
The Orange then return to the JMA Wireless Dome for back-to-back home games against No. 23 SMU on Saturday, Oct. 31, at noon, and Clemson on Saturday, Nov. 7. A kickoff time for the contest with Clemson will be announced at a later date. Tickets are available at Cuse.com/FootballTickets.
