Packard Cup
Anthony Ladd commissioned the Packard Cup in 1959 to honor his father-in-law, Edward N. Packard (SU Class of 1906). The cup, made of sterling silver, is awarded annually to the winner of the Syracuse-Dartmouth race. Packard was the stroke of the 1904 varsity eight, the first SU crew to capture an IRA championship.
Â
Conlan Cup
Syracuse and Boston University have been racing for the Conlan Cup every year since 1987 when the trophy was created. The race is named after Bill Conlan who was the founder of the Boston University rowing program. The Orange has won the cup 16 times in 30 years. The Conlan Cup was not contested in 1996.Â
