
'Cuse Closes Regular Season with Win on Senior Day

Syracuse (12-17, 6-12 ACC) closed the regular season with a victory against Boston College (15-16, 6-12 ACC), 82-57, inside the JMA Wireless Dome Sunday afternoon. The Orange avenged their loss against the Eagles earlier this season while celebrating Senior Day.

At the conclusion of the game, Syracuse honored six graduating student-athletes for their contributions to the program: Kyra Wood, Georgia Woolley, Izabel Varejao, Saniaa Wilson, Dominique Camp, and Lexi McNabb. 'Cuse also honored the hard work of two graduating student managers during the ceremony.

SU had three players score in double figures in the contest, led by Georgia Woolley with 19 points. Woolley dished six assists, swiped four steals, and grabbed five boards in the game. Sophie Burrows recorded 16 points and eight rebounds, four of which were offensive. Kyra Wood rounded out the trio with 14 points, six boards, a block and a steal. Izabel Varejao led the team in rebounds with nine, while Woolley and Olivia Schmitt shared the team lead in assists with six apiece. The Orange had 11 different players record a point against the Eagles.

Boston College was paced in scoring by Teya Sidberry with 20 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Boston College opened scoring with a quick layup, before Syracuse would respond with a 11-0 run to take the lead. The Orange grew the lead to double-digits with a 7-0 run to start the second quarter, before three more scoring runs in the frame would give SU a 25 point advantage at the halftime break, 45-20. Syracuse took care of business in the final 20 minutes, as 11 different Orange players scored to close the regular season with a 82-57 win inside the Loud House.
