The Orange women's tennis team completed their first day at the ITA East Sectional Championship. Nelly Knezkova and Anastasia Sysoeva qualified for the quarterfinal round in doubles after defeating their opponents.

Sysoeva represented Syracuse in singles action, but she dropped her match in the main draw to Daniela Piani of South Carolina 6-3, 6-1.
