SAMUEL LEADS ROOKIE DBs
• DB Demetres Samuel Jr. has cemented his spot as one of the top freshmen in the nation this season.
• He is one of 14 semifinalists for the 2025 Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year award. Finalists for the award will be announced on December 5.
• Samuel ranks second among FBS true freshmen and tied for 32nd overall in passes defended this season with nine, and leads all true freshmen with eight pass breakups.
• In addition, Samuel is tied for third in the ACC in passes defended as well as passes defended per game (0.90).
• Samuel ranks fifth on the Orange in tackles with 44.Â
FIRST-TIME STARTERS
• Syracuse ranks third in the nation and first among ACC schools with 21 players who have made their first career starts this season.Â
• OL Kam Pringle and OL Matthew Hawn joined the group when they made their first career starts against Miami.
• Overall, 43 different players have started at least one game for the Orange in 2025, while  95 players have seen action in at least one game.

• Syracuse and Notre Dame will meet for the 12th time overall and the fifth time at Notre Dame Stadium.
• The Fighting Irish hold an 8-3 lead in the series, including a 3-1 mark on their home field.
