• Syracuse plays its second-straight home game to start the 2023 campaign on Sept. 9 when it hosts Western Michigan in the JMA Wireless Dome.
• The game will air on ACC Network Extra, with Richard Cross (PxP) and Bryon Chamberlain (analyst) on the call.
• Syracuse will try to start the campaign with back-to-back victories for the second-consecutive year and third time since 2018.Â

RECORD-SETTING DAY
• Syracuse's offense had the most prolific day in program history in the win against Colgate.Â
• The Orange posted 677 yards of total offense, breaking the previous record of 675 (Rutgers, 1992). The 677 yards rank as the third-highest single-game total for an FBS team this season.
• Syracuse scored nine touchdowns, which tie for third place on the school single-game record list.Â
• Eight difference players scored a touchdown in the victory, including DB Jeremiah Wilson on a pick six in the first quarter.
• The seven touchdown passes to six different receivers both break school records.
1,000 YARD MAN
• TE Oronde Gadsden II surpassed 1,000 yards receiving in his career with his performance against Colgate.
• He caught six passes for 57 yards against the Raiders, increasing his career receiving yard total to 1,050.Â
• Gadsden is now tied for the 26th spot with Trishton Jackson (2018-19) on Syracuse's all-time receiving yards leader list.Â
• The junior led the Orange in receptions (61) and receiving yards (969) last season.
PITCHING A SHUTOUT
• Syracuse was one of five FBS teams to record a shutout in week one of the 2023 campaign. The group includes BYU, Georgia Southern, Kansas State and Oklahoma.
• It was the first 'Cuse shutout since a 59-0 victory against Wagner on October 1, 2022.
• Syracuse has three shutouts during head coach Dino Babers' tenure. The first came in the 2019 season opener at Liberty (24-0). Â
• The Orange have recorded shutouts in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 1996 and 1997. Syracuse posted two shutouts in 1997 (Wisconsin, East Carolina) in a season in which it won the BIG EAST title and played in the Fiesta Bowl.
SERIES HISTORY
• Saturday's game will be the third all-time meeting between Syracuse and Western Michigan. Syracuse has won both of the previous contests.Â
• Each team has hosted a game in the series. The squads met in back-to-back seasons in 2018 and 2019.
• The previous two meetings between the Orange and Broncos were high-scoring affairs. Syracuse is averaging 55.0 points per game against Western Michigan, while the Broncos are averaging 37.5 points against the Orange.

• Syracuse jumped out to a 21-0 lead on its way to a 52-33 victory against Western Michigan.
• QB Tommy DeVito threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to TE Aaron Hackett before running 36 yards to the end zone to give the Orange the early advantage.Â
• Syracuse led, 24-13, at halftime and another TD pass from DeVito pushed the 'Cuse lead to 31-13 at the 11:14 mark of the third quarter.
• The Broncos fought back, recording back-to-back touchdowns to cut the deficit to 38-33 heading into the fourth quarter.
• DeVito posted his fourth touchdown pass of the day and RB Moe Neal scored on a 16-yard run as the Orange pulled away for the win.
