Rising senior track star Jaheem Hayles took home the bronze medal for Jamaica in the 110-meter hurdles at the North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletics Association (NACAC) Championships!
Hayles finished in 13.73 seconds in the event, just 0.16 seconds behind Bahamas' Antoine Andrews for silver.
The finish wraps up a strong year for Hayles, who was named the ACC Men's Track and Field Performer of the Year last month. At the NCAA outdoor championships, Hayles earned bronze and finished with the school record time of 13.28 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles. Hayles also scored for the Orange and earned First Team All-America accolades at the indoor championships in March.
Another Orange hurdler will represent his country next month, when Syracuse alum Freddie Crittenden III runs for the U.S. in the 110-meter hurdles at the World Championships in Budapest.
