Â
"We wanted to improve on the last time that we matched up against Boston College," said head coach Bakeer Ganesharatnam. "We wanted to serve the ball better and control the ball on our side, to play better defense and give them opportunities to make mistakes. We also wanted to be aggressive on the offense. We served the ball well and put pressure on them, doing a much better job on offense. Overall, I thought it was a good fight, the team came out and did a good job competing."

The Eagles took an early lead in the first set, 10-5. The Orange retaliated with scoring runs of four points and three points to take the lead, 14-13. 'Cuse came back with a vengeance in the second set, stringing together an early seven-point run to lead the frame, 9-2. The Orange kept the lead throughout the set and were able to win it with a 5-2 scoring run powered by kills from Sierzant and graduate Lauren McCabe, 25-17.
