
Senior Day Friday vs. BC; At #9 Georgia Tech Sunday

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse University volleyball team welcomes Boston College for Senior Night on Friday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. before traveling south to play #9 Georgia Tech on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 6 p.m.  Friday's match will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra and Sunday's will be on ACC Network. Fans can follow along with both matches through live stats.

Friday night will have a celebratory ceremony for graduating student-athletes Alyssa Bert and Lauren McCabe at the conclusion of the match. Orange fans, come out to the Women's Building to show your support!

'Cuse has a 39-12 advantage in the series against Boston College. Earlier this month, the Orange went to Boston to play the Eagles and lost in three sets. Boston College comes into this matchup after two consecutive tilts versus NC State, splitting wins with the Wolfpack. The Eagles have a 16-13 record in the 2023 season with a 5-10 record in ACC play.

Syracuse will have its second matchup this season against #9 Georgia Tech this Sunday, losing 3-0 in the previous affair on Oct. 29. The Yellow Jackets lead the all-time series against the Orange, 9-6. Georgia Tech stands at fourth in ACC play with a 12-3 conference record, going 21-4 in all competitions this season.

Last time out, redshirt sophomore Raina Hughes had a career-best outing with 15 kills in a 3-1 loss to Florida State. Freshmen Veronica Sierzant and Greta Schlichter each had three aces in the contest and sophomore Melina Brooking had two, combining for all of Syracuse's eight aces in the match.

After this weekend, the Orange will return home for their regular season finale against #7 Pitt on Friday, Nov. 24 at 6 p.m. The match will have live stats available and can be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
