TOP-20 BATTLE SET FOR SATURDAY IN THE JMA DOME
• Syracuse puts its unbeaten record to the test when it hosts ACC foe NC State. Saturday's game concludes the Orange's season-long, four-game homestand.
• The game will air on ACC Network with Mike Monaco (PxP), Tim Hasselbeck (analyst) and Kelsey Riggs (reporter) on the call.
• The Orange will try to start the campaign with six consecutive wins for just the third time since 1935 and first time since 1987. A win would also give the Orange their first ever 3-0 start in ACC play.

• Fans are also encouraged to remain in their seats at halftime for the Ring of Honor Ceremony.

BROWN, DAVIS AND LITTLE HONORED
• When Syracuse Athletics established its Ring of Honor in 2020, the legendary backs Jim Brown, Ernie Davis and Floyd Little made up three of the inaugural five inductees due to their impact on Syracuse University and the sport of football as a whole. However, due to the impact of the pandemic, the unveiling ceremony had to be postponed.
• At halftime Saturday, members of the Brown, Davis and Little families will be on hand to celebrate the official enshrinement into the Ring of Honor.

RARE COMPANY
• Syracuse is one of 15 remaining FBS teams and two ACC squads that are undefeated through the first six weeks of the season.
• The Orange's 5-0 record marks its best start since 1987. It marks the fifth time since 1935 that Syracuse has started the year with five-straight victories.
• In the modern era (post World War II), Syracuse has won its first six games of the year twice – 1987 and 1959. Both of those squads went undefeated during the regular season.

BEST ON BEST
• Saturday's game marks the first time that Syracuse has hosted a game between two ranked teams since 2001. It's the first game between two top-20 teams in the Salt City since the 1998 season opener.
• This is the just the 13th time since the construction of the Dome in 1980 that Syracuse has hosted a game between two ranked teams.
• Since the Associated Press rankings began in 1936, it marks just the 15th time that the Orange have hosted a game between two ranked teams.

SERIES HISTORY
• Saturday's game will be the 16th all-time meeting between Syracuse and NC State. The squads have been ACC Atlantic Division foes since 'Cuse joined the league in 2013.
• The Wolfpack leads the all-time series, 13-2.
• The series dates back to a 43-20 Wolfpack win in 1972. The teams played four times in the 1970s, twice at each campus, before resuming the series with home-and-home dates in 1997 and 1998. Since 2013, the schools have played annually.

SHRADER ON THE MARK
• QB Garrett Shrader has been one of the most accurate passers in the nation this season.
• He has completed 90-of-127 passes (.709) this season and ranks 11th in the nation and leads the ACC in completion percentage.
• Shrader set a single-game school record when he completed all 17 of his passes against Wagner. It marked the first time in school history that a 'Cuse quarterback with more than 10 attempts completed every one of his passes. Shrader is the only player in the nation to accomplish the feat in 2022.
• If the season ended today, Shrader's passing efficiency of 175.9 would be a school single-season record. The current record is 164.3 set by Don McPherson in 1987 when he led the nation in that category.
• His numbers this season are an improvement over his 2021 totals when he completed 123-of-234 passes (.526) for 1,445 yards and recorded a 117.3 passing efficiency.

HOT STARTS
• Syracuse has had the ball to start the game in all five contests this season and has scored on its opening drive in four of five games.
• The Orange have outscored their opponents, 61-13, in the first quarter and have held the lead after the first quarter in four of five games this season.
• 'Cuse has shut out its last two opponents in the first half as well and owns a first-have margin of 112-23 across all five games thus far. The Orange trailed 9-3 at the break vs. Purdue but have taken the lead to the locker room in the other four matchups.

HEADING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION
• Syracuse's defense has been steadily improving since the start of the 2021 season.
• Since the start of the 2021 season, the Orange have held their opponents to less than 400 yards 14 times. Only Clemson (16) and Boston College (14) have done that as many times or more among ACC teams.
• Overall, Syracuse ranks 10th nationally in total defense, allowing 271.6 yards per game.

A WIN WOULD …
• Improve Dino Babers' record to 35-43 as head coach of the Orange.
• Give Syracuse a 6-0 start for the first time since the 1987 season and just the third time since 1935.
• Give the Orange their longest winning streak since 2001 (8).
• Make Syracuse bowl eligible for the first time since 2018.
• Give Syracuse its 747th all-time victory (includes 11 wins from 2004-06 that were vacated by the NCAA). The Orange currently rank 22nd on the FBS ledger of winningest programs. Syracuse is one of 32 FBS schools to have accumulated 700+ wins.
