ACC TOURNAMENT BERTH ON THE LINE
The Orange sits in ninth place in the ACC standings. SU clinches a berth in next week's ACC Tournament with a win against Wake Forest and a Duke loss or tie against Clemson. Syracuse can also advance to the postseason with a tie against Wake Forest, but the Orange would need a lot of help.
Â
LAST TIME OUT
ACC Player of the Week Alex Halis scored the match's only goal as the Orange toppled No. 19 Clemson, 1-0, on Friday, Nov. 1 at the SU Soccer Stadium. Halis scored in the 61st minute and the Orange defense turned away 12 Clemson shots.
Â
SU goalkeeper Alex Bono made six saves, including three down the stretch, to record his 18th career shutout.
Â
SCOUTING THE DEMON DEACONS
Wake Forest has a 8-4-5 record, including a 5-1-4 mark in ACC play. The Demon Deacons are third in the ACC and have clinched a berth in the conference tournament.

Goalkeeper Alec Ferrell has played in 10 matches for the Demon Deacons, posting four wins and a goals-against average of 1.12.
Â
Jay Vidovich is in his 20th year as head coach and 28th season overall at Wake Forest. The two-time national coach of the year and five-time ACC Coach of the Year has led the Demon Deacons to four College Cup appearances, including the first national championship in program history in 2007.
Â

Â
SU is 2-1 this season against teams from North Carolina. Syracuse picked up wins against Duke (2-1) and NC State (5-0), but suffered a 1-0 loss at North Carolina on Oct. 18.
Â
UP NEXT…
The Orange will await tonight's other results from around the league to see if it has qualified for this year's ACC Championship. Tournament quartersfinals are slated for Tuesday, Nov. 7 at campus sites.Â
