HAMILTON, N.Y. — The Syracuse University men's soccer team improved to 5-3-0 on the season with a 3-0 road victory over Colgate on Tuesday night at Beyer-Small '76 Field.

The Orange broke a scoreless deadlock two minutes into the second half when Chimere Omeze buried his first goal of the season, assisted by Ivan Irinimbabazi and Gabriel Oksanen. Dakota Jonke doubled the lead with an unassisted strike, his second goal of the year, before Kelvin Da Costa capped the scoring in the 90th minute with an unassisted finish for his first goal of the season.

Syracuse controlled play throughout, out-shooting Colgate 15-9 overall and 9-4 on shots on goal. Goalkeeper Juan Martinez-Bastidas earned the clean sheet, turning away four shots across the full 90 minutes.

Syracuse returns home to host Le Moyne on Friday, September 19, at 7 p.m. with streaming on ACCNX.
