ROAD WARRIORS
Tuesday's road opener against Binghamton marks the first of 10 regular-season games away from home for Syracuse. The Orange will compete in six different states this season, including a trip to Las Vegas, Nev. for the UNLV Nike Invitational from Sept. 14-16. Six of SU's eight games in September will be played on the road.
Â
ORANGE SEEKING 2-0 START
The Orange is looking for its second win in a row following its 2-0 season-opening triumph against Albany on Aug. 24. The last time Syracuse started a campaign 2-0 was in 2006 when it opened with three straight wins.
RECAPPING THE ALBANY WIN
The Orange won the earliest season opener in school history on Aug. 24 with 2-0 home victory against Albany. Both SU goals came in the second half. Freshman Ben Ramin's throw into the box resulted in an Albany own goal in the 50th minute, and junior Tony Asante tacked on an insurance goal in the 73rd minute to seal the triumph. True freshman Alex Bono started in goal and recorded two saves in his collegiate debut to earn his first shutout.

SCOUTING BINGHAMTON
Binghamton lost its season opener on the road, 3-2, to Colgate in overtime Friday. Mike Reidy scored 56 seconds into the extra session to lift the Raiders to victory.
Jake Keegan is Binghamton's key returner on offense. He led the team with seven goals, five assists and 19 points during 2011. He also had a goal in the opener against Colgate. Tommy Klimm scored Binghamton's other goal versus the Raiders.
Â
Logan Calvey and Chris Hayen split time in goal versus Colgate, with Calvey allowing all three goals. He did make five saves.
Â
The Bearcats went 5-10-2 in 2011, including a 1-5-1 conference record to miss the league tournament for the first time since 2002.
Paul Marco is in his 11th season as head coach at Binghamton. Marco has led the Bearcats to two America East Conference titles and two conference regular-season championships during his tenure.
Â
SU AGAINST THE AMERICA EAST CONFERENCE
Syracuse is 10-10-2 all-time against the nine members of the America East Conference (4-1-1 vs. Albany; 2-5-0 vs. Binghamton; 0-3-0 vs. Boston University; 2-0-0 vs. Maine; 2-1-1 vs. Vermont). The Orange has never faced Hartford, UMBC, New Hampshire or Stony Brook.
