Hunter Waldron an athletic compliance professional of almost a decade was hired as the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance at Syracuse in November 2024. Prior to coming to Syracuse, Hunter was the Associate Director of Compliance at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) from January 2023 to October 2024 where he directly managed and supervised all compliance operations and was the primary liaison for football, volleyball, men’s & women’s tennis, men’s & women’s cross country and track & field programs for a little over five and a half years. Hunter originally started at MTSU as the Compliance Coordinator from 2019-2022 before being promoted to Associate Director.

Before going to MTSU, Hunter was a Compliance Specialist at Jacksonville State University from 2016-2019. Hunter is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, class of 2014 with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. In 2016, Hunter completed his master's degree in Sport Administration at Belmont University. During his time at Belmont, Hunter would get his first compliance experience as a compliance intern in 2015, dealing with several aspects of both the NCAA and the Ohio Valley Conference compliance guidelines.
