Brandon Vedder joined the ‘Cuse Athletic Fund as the Director of Development, Major Gifts in June of 2022. In his role at Syracuse, Vedder pursues increased philanthropic support for SU Athletics’ top priorities through the Legend Society. Vedder is responsible for supporting regions including Syracuse, Central New York, Rochester, Albany & Buffalo.

Prior to arriving at Syracuse, Vedder spent a year and a half with the University of Alabama - Birmingham Athletics’ where he was the Director of Campaigns for Blazer Boosters. As a front-line fundraiser at UAB, Vedder was instrumental in helping to close out the funding for the UAB FB Operations Building and served as a direct liaison between Blazer Boosters and Head Football Coach Bill Clark. During FY 2022, the UAB Athletics’ development team secured over $7 million in donations, the second highest total ever for Blazer Boosters.

Prior to his work at UAB, Vedder spent nearly two years with the Mountaineers Athletic Fund, the fundraising arm for Appalachian State Athletics. He served as a front-line fundraiser and oversaw sport-specific giving for multiple sports and planned giving. During his time with Appalachian State, MAF experienced two record breaking years in terms of annual donations. Vedder was heavily involved in efforts to close out the fundraising for field hockey’s Brandon & Erica Adcock Field, and in securing the lead gift of $750,000 to kickstart fundraising for a new track and field complex. Vedder also has experience at UMass, Pepperdine, Boston College, and multiple minor league sports.

A native of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Vedder earned his BS in Business Administration and Finance in 2016 from Carroll College in Helena, Montana, where he was a 4-time Academic All-Conference Member for the football team, starting 10 games. He also received his MS in Sport Management and his MBA from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst in 2019.

Brandon and his girlfriend Allie reside in Fayetteville with their Corgi puppy, Keith.
