Senior Year (2018): Elected as a team captain … Ended his collegiate career with 18 goals, 22 points and 18 turnovers … Started out the season with an assist, three shots and two shots on goal against Binghamton (2/10) … Recorded one assist and two ground balls against Army (2/24) … Scored two goals against Navy (4/21).
Junior Year (2017): Appeared in 15 games, with his lone absence due to illness … Scored eight goals and added an assist … Scored a goal and chipped in an assist against Towson in the NCAA Quarterfinal (5/21) … Recorded a goal in an NCAA Tournament first round win against Yale (5/14) … Matched career high scoring two goals against Binghamton (4/21) … Scored a goal against North Carolina (4/15) … Helped the Orange take the lead with goal at then No. 1 Notre Dame (4/1) … Tallied an assist against Johns Hopkins (3/18) … Fired a goal in a victory over Virginia (3/5) … Opened his season point total with an unassisted goal against Army (2/25).

Great grandfather (Roy Simmons Sr.), grandfather (Roy Simmons Jr.) and father (Roy Simmons III) all played and coached lacrosse at Syracuse University. Simmons Sr. and Simmons Jr. are both in the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame. Simmons III is the team’s current director of operations... Communication and rhetorical studies major.
