Sophomore Year (2017): Missed the entire season due to injury.
Freshman Year (2016): Saw the field in seven games, scoring twice, assisting once, and picking up four ground balls... Made his collegiate debut against Siena scoring his first career goal and recording his first career assist (2/13)… Picked up a groundball against Albany (2/21)… Scored against St. John’s (3/12)… Collected three ground balls against Colgate (5/7).
2015: Redshirt Season
High School: Ranked the No. 53 overall prospect in the Class of 2013 by Inside Lacrosse… U.S. Lacrosse All-American… Earned All-Central New York (CNY) honors from the Syracuse Media Group and was named the Auburn Citizen Player of the Year in 2013… Three-time OHSL American Division All-Star… Tallied 94 points (64 goals, 30 assists) as a senior, including tying for the Section III lead with 64 goals… Notched 211 goals and 74 assists in his high school career… Participated in the 2011 and 2012 Under Armour Underclassemen Games... Led the Central team to the 2012 Empire State Cup title... Also played basketball and football.
Personal: Gale James Thorpe... Born in December 1994 in Elbridge, New York... Son of Regy and Amy Thorpe... Father, Regy, is currently the associate head coach for the Syracuse University women’s lacrosse team. He also played lacrosse for the Orange from 1992-93 and helped the team win the national championship in 1993... One sister... Child and family studies major in the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics.
