Juliano Macera is in his third season as a member of the Orange staff and first as video operations coordinator.
Macera is responsible for the filming and breakdown of all practices and games at Syracuse, managing student video assistants and coordinating film exchange with opponents.
Last season, Macera served as Syracuse’s Director of Operations where he assisted in the team’s operations and had a role in travel as well as the team calendar. He joined the program as the Football Operations Assistant in January, 2023 after spending three seasons with the program in various roles as a student.
Macera joined the Orange as a video and technology intern in February of 2020, recording, editing and importing game and practice film. After two seasons in the video department, he accepted a position as the football operations intern, where he assisted with all aspects of team travel, scheduling and meals, as well as other day-to-day tasks involved in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the program. Macera also temporarily served as a video assistant in the second half of 2022 due to a staff departure, where he was responsible for game and practice film.
A Central New York native, Macera previously worked with the Utica Blue Sox. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management in 2023 from the David B. Falk School of Sport and Human Dynamics at Syracuse. He graduated from New Hartford High School in 2019.
