Jim Schlensker joined the Syracuse equipment staff in 1994 and was promoted to head equipment manager for football in January 2011.
His primary responsibilities include gameday preparation of equipment and locker room facilities for both home and away contests, as well as office duties. Schlensker is responsible for football equipment purchasing and reconditioning, maintenance and inventory control. He has staffed 10 bowl games for the Orange, including the 2018 Camping World Bowl.
Schlensker came to Syracuse from Northwestern. The Fort Wayne, Indiana native is a 1990 graduate of St. Joseph’s College. He is certified by the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA).
