Syracuse, Siena Set For Exhibition in Albany

Syracuse will travel to Albany to play an exhibition game against Siena on Sunday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m. at MVP Arena.
The contest marks a return to the Capital District for Syracuse coach Gerry McNamara, staff members Ben Lee, Arinze Onuaku, Ryan Blackwell, Ryan Beaury and Matt June, and Orange players Gavin Doty, Francis Folefac and Tasman Goodrick. Each was part of the Siena program that captured the 2026 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship and competed in the NCAA Tournament.
Siena plans to honor the 2025-26 squad in a pregame ceremony that will feature the presentation of the MAAC banner and championship rings.
Syracuse
 The Orange are in their first campaign with former standout Gerry McNamara as head coach.
 The Syracuse roster includes returning sophomores Kiyan Anthony (8.0 ppg., 1.4 rpg.) and Sadiq White Jr. (6.1 ppg., 3.3 rpg.). McNamara and his staff recruited six incoming transfers, including Temple guard Aiden Tobiason (15.3 ppg., 3.7 rpg.), a junior, and guard Gavin Doty (18.0 ppg., 6.9 rpg.), a junior and 2025-26 MAAC First Team honoree at Siena. The Orange also welcomed five freshmen.

Former Marquette assistant coach Nevada Smith is the head coach at Siena. He has a roster which includes five returning letterwinners and 11 newcomers.
Guard Brendan Coyle (8.7 ppg., 4.6 rpg.), a graduate student, started all 35 games for the Saints last season. Among three transfers are senior guard Tan Yildizoglu (10.2 ppg., 3.6 rpg.) from VMI and Gannon transfer Pace Prosser (18.6 ppg., 5.4 rpg.), a junior guard.
