Syracuse freshman center Uche Izoje has been named to the All-ACC Tournament Second Team, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced Sunday at the conclusion of the 2026 Ally ACC Women's Basketball Tournament. The honor caps a dominant two-game run in Greensboro in which Izoje averaged 22.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game while shooting 58.8 percent from the field.
Izoje led the Orange in scoring in both tournament contests, finishing with 23 points and 10 rebounds against California before posting 22 points and nine rebounds against Louisville in the quarterfinals. She shot a combined 20-of-34 from the floor across the two games while adding six blocks over the ACC Tournament.
Her performances helped power Syracuse to its first ACC Tournament victory of the Felisha Legette-Jack era, as the seventh-seeded Orange knocked off 10-seed California in the opening round on March 5.
The recognition adds to a record-setting freshman season for Izoje, who has moved into second place on Syracuse's all-time rookie scoring list with 479 points — just 22 behind the program record of 501 set by Nicole Michael during the 2006-07 season.
Izoje earned ACC Rookie of the Year honors earlier this week, becoming the second Orange player to claim the award. She was also an All-ACC First Team selection, leading all ACC freshmen in scoring and rebounding while pacing the league in blocks per game.
Syracuse will find out its NCAA Tournament fate on Sunday, March 15 during the 2026 NCAA Tournament Selection Show on ESPN at 8 p.m. The Orange are a projected 9-seed according to ESPN bracketologist Charlie Creme.Â
