
Orange Move Up in Both Polls

Top-10 Game on Deck for Saturday
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Heading into ACC play, Syracuse University men's lacrosse moved up in both the USILA Division I Coaches Poll and the Inside Lacrosse Division I Media Poll.
Syracuse (8-2) is on a five-game winning streak, including four in a row on the road before returning to the JMA Wireless Dome on Sunday to beat then-13th ranked Georgetown 18-12.
In the USILA Coaches Poll, Syracuse picked up 385 points, moving up one spot from eighth last week. Notre Dame remained at number one with 575 points and 25 of the 29 first-place votes. Richmond held at number two with 547 points and three top selections. Harvard was third with 506 points and the final top tally. Duke, this week's Syracuse opponent, was fourth with 480 points while North Carolina rounded out the top five with 476 points.
Inside Lacrosse's poll had the same top three: No. 1 Notre Dame with 427 points and 11 first-place votes, No. 2 Richmond with 426 points and 10 first-place votes, with Harvard in third with 386 points and the remaining first-place vote. North Carolina was fourth with 371 points while the Orange moved into fifth with 323 points, sliding up from eighth last week.
Thirteen 2026 opponents were named on the USILA Division I poll this week: No. 1 Notre Dame, No. 3 Harvard, No. 4 Duke, No. 5 North Carolina, No. 8 Princeton, No. 11 Johns Hopkins, No. 12 Maryland, No. 13 Denver, No. 14 Georgetown, No. 15 Saint Joseph's, No. 16 Penn, with Virginia and Boston University in the receiving votes column.
An equal number of foes were listed in the Inside Lacrosse Poll: No. 1 Notre Dame, No. 3 Harvard, No. 4 North Carolina, No. 6 Duke, No. 7 Princeton, No. 11 Johns Hopkins, No. 12 Maryland, No. 13 Denver, No. 14 Georgetown, No. 15 Penn, No. 16 Saint Joseph's, No. 20 Boston University, as Virginia remained in the receiving votes section.
