A pair of Syracuse players were recognized by the ACC as conference players of the week after the Orange's 42-41 overtime win over UConn.
Â
Wide receiver Umari Hatcher was the league's Offensive Receiver of the Week while Tylik Hill earned Running Back of the Week honors.
Â
Hatcher posted career highs across the board, logging 152 yards on 12 catches for three touchdowns. He scored two touchdowns in the first half, a 41-yard completion and a 40-yard connection to give the Orange the early lead. His final touchdown came in overtime on fourth-and-goal from the UConn 17-yard line, when quarterback Amari Odom found Hatcher in the back of the end zone for his third score of the day. The score set up the eventual game-winning two-point conversion to seal the win over the Huskies. Hatcher became the 10th player in program history to catch three or more touchdowns in a game and the first since 2016.
Â
Hill also posted career bests, carrying the ball 28 times for 140 yards, good for five yards per carry. The sophomore racked up 118 yards in the second half, helping the Orange to the overtime victory. His 140-yard performance was the most by a Syracuse player since LeQuint Allen ran for 145 yards against Wake Forest in 2023.
Â
The Orange are at the tail end of an extended period away from the Dome. Following this weekend's matchup with Virginia, the Orange return home on Saturday, October 17, for a clash with Louisville at 7:30 p.m. ET. Tickets are still available at Cuse.com/FootballTickets!
