Field Hockey Earns Seven All-ACC Academic Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Seven Syracuse University field hockey standouts earned distinction among the academic elites in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) as the league announced its annual All-ACC Academic Teams Wednesday afternoon.
Phoebe Hall (Computer Science), Lana Hamilton (Psychology), Lieke Leeggangers (Psychology), Hattie Madden (Marketing Management), Grace O'Connor (Management), Sarah Smalley (Chemistry), and Pati Strunk (Psychology) were all named to the ACC All-Academic Team following the Fall 2025 season.
Leeggangers is a four-time All-ACC Academic honoree, dating back to her rookie season in 2022. Hall, Madden, and Strunk all earned All-ACC Academic honors for a second time.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team include a 3.0-grade point average for the previous two semesters and 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career, while being enrolled at the institution for at least one year and being classified as an undergraduate student. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's athletic contests.
