
Syracuse To Open With Binghamton

Central New York rivals Syracuse and Binghamton will meet on the hardwood on Monday, November 3, in the JMA Wireless Dome. It will be the regular-season opener for the Orange.
The Syracuse-Binghamton Series:
The Orange return their top two scorers, senior guard J.J. Starling (17.8 ppg.) and sophomore forward Donnie Freeman (13.4 ppg., 7.9 rpg.), from the 2024-25 squad that was 14-19. Third-year coach Adrian Autry has added six transfers and five freshmen to the Syracuse roster.    Â
The transfer group includes forwards Tyler Betsey (Cincinnati), Ibrahim Souare (Georgia Tech),  guards Nathan George (Georgia Tech), Nate Kingz (Oregon State) and Bryce Zephir (Montana State), and center William Kyle (UCLA).
The incoming freshmen feature top-35 recruits Kiyan Anthony, a forward from Long Island Lutheran High School (N.Y.) and forward Sadiq White Jr., who spent last year at IMG Academy (Fla.). Center Tiefing Diawara (DME Academy at St. John's Northwestern, Wisc.) and guards Luke Fennell (South East Melbourne, Australia) and Aaron Womack (Dominican, Wisc.) round out the group.   Â

Binghamton
Binghamton was 15-17 overall and 7-9 in the America East a season ago. Coach Levell Sanders has guided the Bearcats to improved win totals in three straight campaigns. Binghamton has added Division I transfers Demetrius Lilley from La Salle, Jeremiah Quigley from George Mason, and Bryson Wilson from Buffalo.
