NY Racing, SU Football NIL & Syracuse Team Up at Watkins Glen

NY Racing announces a new partnership with the SU Football NIL and the Syracuse University Football team. SU Football NIL along with its football team will join NY Racing as a primary partner for the Go Bowling at The Glen on Sunday, August 10th with veteran NASCAR racer J.J. Yeley behind the wheel of the No. 44 Chevrolet.
Syracuse football is coming off one of its best seasons in recent memory, finishing the 2024 campaign inside the top-20 of the national polls under first-year head coach Fran Brown. The Orange represent Syracuse University in the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).
"I'm excited to be a part of this NASCAR race," Brown said. "I can't wait to see the NY Racing Team compete while repping the Orange No. 44 DART."
The No. 44 at Syracuse University holds legendary status, particularly in its football program. It was famously worn by three of football's greatest running backs: Jim Brown, Ernie Davis, and Floyd Little. The number 44 is more than just a jersey number; it's a symbol of Syracuse's athletic tradition and is woven into the university's identity. For example, Syracuse's zip code is 13244.
