
Orange Finish Fourth in Media Poll

BALTIMORE – After a run to Championship Weekend for the first time in over a decade, Syracuse University men's lacrosse finished fourth in the final Inside Lacrosse Division I Media Poll. The Baltimore-based outlet announced its poll Wednesday morning.
Claiming the 2025 ACC Men's Lacrosse championship, Syracuse (13-6) reach the NCAA Division I Semifinals, winning three straight one-goal games in the month of May. The Orange had 375 points in the final poll, just 19 behind Penn State in third.
Cornell, which won the national championship, was voted first for an eighth and final time, garnering 440 points and all 22 first-place votes. National runner up Maryland was second with 418 points followed by Penn State in third with 394 points. Princeton rounded out the top five with 350 points.
Eleven No. 1 Cornell, No. 2 Maryland, No. 5 Princeton, No. 6 Notre Dame, No. 10 Duke, No. 12 North Carolina, No. 13 Harvard, No. 14 Colgate, No. 15 Towson, as Virginia and Johns Hopkins received votes. Syracuse went 9-6 against opponents mentioned in the final Inside Lacrosse Media Poll, including a split 4-4 against top-10 opponents.
