
Three Earn All-ACC on Night 1

Three All-ACC finishers and a pair of runners advancing to the finals highlighted the first day of the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships for Syracuse.

The Orange were the only school with multiple runners in the scoring of the men's 10k, with Sam Lawler taking fifth (29:08.12) and Assaf Harari (29:09.29) finishing sixth, both earning All-ACC honors. Perry Mackinnon (29:37.77) placed 12th, followed by Omar Alsaidi (31:03.24).

The women's 10k also saw an All-ACC finisher, as Emma Eastman finished fifth in 33:45.35. Savannah Roark (34:42.05) was 12th, followed three-spots later by Rylie Lusk (34:57.11). Nyah Hernandez rounded out the Orange in the field by taking 26th in a time of 36:26.70.

Iaunia Pointer won her heat in the 200-meter dash, automatically advancing to Saturday's final. She crossed the line in 23.29 seconds.

Xayvion Perkins was the second member of the Orange to punch his ticket to the finals, doing so with a personal-best time in the 400-meter hurdles. He crossed the line in 51.28 seconds to advance on time.

Heidi Demeo raced in the 1,500-meter run, posting a time of 4:24.84, and Madison Ceasar raced in the 400-meter hurdles (1:03.13) as well on Thursday, with both falling short of advancing to the final.
