
Track Closes Regular Season This Weekend

Syracuse will wrap up its outdoor regular season at a pair of meets this weekend, with Orange competing at the East Coast Relays and Big Red Invite.
East Coast Relays
Dates: Friday, May 2 – Saturday, May 3
Location: Visit Jax Track at Hodges Stadium | Jacksonville, Fla.

Syracuse will open East Coast Relays on Friday with Madison Ceasar and Xayvion Perkins running the 400-meter hurdles at 6 p.m. The Orange will wrap up Friday with Iaunia Pointer and James Nmah in the 200-meter run at 6:30 p.m.

Taleea Buxton, Ceasar and Peyton Rollins will open Saturday in the prelims of the 100-meter hurdles at 9 a.m. with finals set for 1:30 p.m. Isaiah Lewis, Emanuel Joseph and Naseem Smith will then run in the prelims of the 110-meter hurdles as they look to advance to the 1:50 p.m. final.

Malachi James and James Nmah will compete in the 100-meter dash prelims at 10 a.m. as they both look to book spots in the final at 3 p.m. The Orange also have an entry in the women's 4x100-meter relay, with Pointer, Buxton, Rollins and Kahniya James set to compete at noon.

Solomon Holden-Betts will open Sunday for the Orange in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at 11:30 a.m. Syracuse will then have two entries in the women's 1,500-meter at 1:20 p.m. with Kayla Harding and Lucy Zombek scheduled to compete.Â
David Peters will run the 110-meter hurdles at 1:30 p.m. before Mia Hernandez takes on the 100-meter dash at 1:50 p.m. A pair of Orange runners will then race in the 800-meter with Blake Parker and Emily Rutkowski slated for a 2:15 p.m. start. Hernandez will round out the meet for Syracuse in her second event of the day, the women's 200-meter at 2:45 p.m.Â
