After a school record fell on Friday, Syracuse added more personal bests on Saturday at the USF Alumni Invitational.
Taleea Buxton and Peyton Rollins finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 100-meter hurdles. Buxton (13.67 seconds), finished just ahead of Rollins' time of 13.78 seconds. Both set new PRs in the event.
Emanuel Joseph (14.31 seconds) led the way in the 110-meter hurdles, placing 13th. Naseem Smith (14.49 seconds), David Peters (14.58 seconds) and Isaiah Lewis (14.59 seconds), finished in succession, taking 17th, 18th and 19th.
The Orange men placed eighth in the 4x100-meter relay team, with James Nmah, Malachi Coleman, Darrell Gill Jr. and Malachi James racing. It was the track debut for Gill, Coleman and James, who compete on the Orange football team. They finished in 40.65 seconds.
All four also ran the 100-meter dash, where they were led by James in 10.65 seconds. Gill (10.68 seconds) was next, followed by Nmah (10.79 seconds) and Coleman (10.84 seconds).
The Syracuse women's 4x100-meter relay squad of Olivia Garner, Iaunia Pointer, Peyton Rollins and Kahniya James ran to a time of 46.03 seconds, which was good for 11th overall.
