Womack Plans To Redshirt In 2025-26

Syracuse freshman Aaron Womack plans to redshirt for the 2025-26 basketball season.
Womack, a 6-6 guard from Milwaukee, Wisc., enrolled for the 2025 fall semester.Â
He played scholastically at Dominican High School (Wisc.). Womack became the 60th player in Wisconsin High School basketball history to surpass 2,000 career points, achieving the milestone during a 46-point outburst against St. Augustine Prep. He finished his senior season with averages of 28.8 points, 11.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.3 steals and 2.8 blocks per game. Womack had 15 double-doubles and scored at least 20 points in all but four games as a senior. He helped the Knights to a 17-9 record in 2024-25.
Womack posted averages of 20.0 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest as a junior. Dominican was 24-4 in 2023-24.
Womack was named First-Team All-Metro Classic Conference as a junior and senior.
He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences at Syracuse.
A "redshirt" year can be declared during a collegiate campaign although it is not confirmed until the end of the playing season. Womack remains eligible to practice, suit up for games (but not compete), and attend classes.
