The Orange stole the ball from Binghamton two possessions in a row, but were unable to find the net. SU defense forced four turnovers and kept the Bearcats scoreless for three minutes and 33 seconds at one point in the third quarter. Eight different Orange players contributed points this quarter, giving Syracuse a 57-35 lead over Binghamton.Â
The Syracuse bench took over in the final quarter, scoring nine of the 15 points. Across the board, the Orange collected 12 rebounds and four steals. Despite back-and-forth scoring between both teams in the fourth quarter, SU was able to pull away with the 72-54 victory.Â
