Syracuse travels to Miami for 3:30 game on Saturday – its last ACC road game of the season. Here's five things to know about the matchup
1. 315 TO 305
Syracuse travels to Miami for the first time since 2017. Despite the two teams being in the BIG EAST together from 1991-2003 and in the ACC together from 2013-present, this will be just the third matchup between the two programs in the last 23 seasons, and second meeting in Miami since 2001.
In 2017, the then No. 8 Hurricanes defeated the Orange 27-19. The Orange have won the only matchup since then – a 42-38 thriller in the JMA Wireless Dome last season.
2. YOUTH MOVEMENT
Syracuse has seen 19 different players make their first collegiate start this season, a number that ranks third nationally. The Orange are the only power-four school with more than 15 first-time starters this season.
In total, 94 different players have seen action for 'Cuse with 41 players starting at least one game. 34 freshmen (26 true freshmen) have played for the Orange this season.
3. DESLAURIERS ON PACE FOR ROOKIE HISTORY
Freshman Antoine Deslauriers leads the team with 50 tackles, which also is tops nationally among true freshmen.
He is on pace to become the first true freshman to lead the team in tackles on record.
3. Every 'Cuse Click Counts
Saturday's game will air on ESPN at 3:30 p.m. There are more ways than ever that fans can have a direct financial impact on Syracuse Athletics, one of which is by making sure you watch every game you can't attend. Television ratings now have an impact on revenue distribution in the ACC. Make sure you're always watching the Orange, whether from the Dome or at home, because Every 'Cuse Click Counts.
If you are a YouTube TV customer, you currently will not be able to watch Saturday's game on ESPN. Take action and keep watching by visiting KeepMyNetworks.com.
