
Lawler Earns ACC Performer of the Week

Sam Lawler became the first ACC weekly award winner on the season for the Syracuse cross country program.
Lawler was named ACC Performer of the Week after winning the individual title at the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational over the weekend.
Lawler crossed the line in 24:55.5 over the 5.2 mile course, defeating Navy's Murphy Smith and teammate Assaf Harari by a half second to claim the title. He led the Orange to take five of the top-13 spots and place seven runners inside the top-23 to claim the team title.
He and the Orange are back in action on Friday, Sept. 27 at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational.
