
Syracuse Begins Home Stretch With Le Moyne

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Orange begin a 10-game homestand to conclude the regular season with a doubleheader April 24 versus Le Moyne. First pitch in the opening contest is scheduled for 2 p.m. Both games air on ACC Network Extra.Â

Syracuse is 2-0 all-time against Le Moyne and faced the Dolphins earlier in the season in Norfolk, Va. The Orange earned an 11-1, five inning victory on March 11. Clyde had a career day, collecting her first career multi-home run game to pair with a career-best five RBI. The teams first squared off on April 28, 2000, a 7-0 win for the Orange.

ORANGE UPDATE:Â
- Syracuse lost two-of-three at Pittsburgh April 19-21. The Orange won the middle game of the series, 12-3.
- In the win, Syracuse recorded 16 hits, the most in an ACC game since April 16, 2014, when the Orange slugged 18 knocks against Boston College.
- Sophomore Vanessa Flores hit her first career home run in the victory, one of three longballs on the day. Sophomore Madison Knight and graduate student Rebecca Clyde also went deep.
- Knight also went deep in Sunday's contest, the first time the slugger has hit a home run in back-to-back games in her career.
- Syracuse recorded double-digit hits in all three games, the first time having at least 10 hits in three contests during an ACC series since March 26-28, 2021, at Pittsburgh.
- Senior Angel Jasso went 9-for-13 in the series, scoring four runs and driving in three while recording her second career four-hit game. The nine hits mark the second time Jasso has achieved the feat over a three-game stretch, with the first occurrence coming in Feb., 2022.
- Jasso's 19th multi-hit games passed Alicia Hansen (2018) for the second-most by a senior in program history. Her 51 career multi-hit contests are tied with Stephanie Watts for fifth.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT:
- Le Moyne is 14-27 overall and 5-10 in conference play. The Dolphins have won four of its last five games, including taking two-of-three from conference foe Wagner over the weekend.
- Alyssa Dybacz paces the offense with 49 hits, 32 runs scored, 25 RBI and a .371 AVG. Dybacz, along with Frankie Larobardiere and Mckenzie Bergdoll each have six home runs.
- In the circle, Laura Bennett has appeared in 30 of the team's 41 games, making 21 starts. Bennett holds an 8-15 record with a 4.24 ERA in 143.2 innings.
