SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Syracuse lost the series finale to Seton Hall, 1-0, Sunday afternoon at Mike Sheppard, Sr. Field.

The game's lone run came on an RBI single in the fourth. With the win, the Pirates hold a 19-16 overall record while the Orange sit at 20-18 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST SETON HALL:
Graduate student Jessie DiPasquale earned the start for Syracuse. The fifth year tossed the first three innings and walked a pair to begin the fourth before being replaced by sophomore Madison Knight. Knight allowed back-to-back one-out singles, which allowed Katey Brennan to score.

The Orange bats were kept quiet by Seton Hall starter Kyra Kreuscher, who allowed two hits in the shutout win.

Syracuse looked to level the game in the fifth, having runners on second and third with one out, but were unable to get any runs to cross.

OF NOTE:

Syracuse is 19-15 all time versus Seton Hall.
DiPasquale made her second start in the circle with Syracuse.
Knight tossed three scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
Sophomore Madelyn Lopez recorded a hit in all three games this weekend.

UP NEXT:
The Orange face Canisius at Skytop Stadium April 17 for a midweek doubleheader. First pitch of the opening game is set for 1 p.m. Both games will broadcast on ACC Network Extra.
