SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Syracuse lost the series finale to Seton Hall, 1-0, Sunday afternoon at Mike Sheppard, Sr. Field.

The game's lone run came on an RBI single in the fourth. With the win, the Pirates hold a 19-16 overall record while the Orange sit at 20-18 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST SETON HALL:Â
Graduate student Jessie DiPasquale earned the start for Syracuse. The fifth year tossed the first three innings and walked a pair to begin the fourth before being replaced by sophomore Madison Knight. Knight allowed back-to-back one-out singles, which allowed Katey Brennan to score.

The Orange bats were kept quiet by Seton Hall starter Kyra Kreuscher, who allowed two hits in the shutout win.

Syracuse looked to level the game in the fifth, having runners on second and third with one out, but were unable to get any runs to cross.
