ORANGE HOST TIGERS IN ACC OPENER
• Syracuse begins conference play when it hosts Clemson in the JMA Wireless Dome.Â
• The game will air on ABC, with Dave Pasch '94 (PxP), Dusty Dvoracek (analyst) and Tom Luginbill (reporter) on the call. It marks the second time this season that a 'Cuse alum has been part of the broadcast team.
• Syracuse will try to start the campaign with five-straight victories for the second-consecutive year and third time since 1987 when the Orange posted an unbeaten 11-0-1 record. It would mark the sixth time since 1942 that 'Cuse has started a season 5-0.Â
• The Orange seek their second-straight perfect record in the month of September. Syracuse has won its last 10 games played in September dating back to the 2021 season.
• Saturday is Orange Central/Homecoming for Syracuse and an Orange Out at the JMA Wireless Dome.

• The Tigers own a 9-2 advantage in the series.
• The Orange last beat the Tigers in 2017, 27-24 in a thrilling game in the Dome. The squads entered the fourth quartered tied at 24-24. Syracuse gained the lead with 9:41 remaining when kicker Cole Murphy nailed a 30-yard field goal to secure the Orange win.
• Syracuse and Clemson first met in the 1996 Gator Bowl where the Orange posted a 41-0 victory.
• Four of the last six meetings have been decided by one possession.
• The squads have met each year since the Orange joined the ACC in 2013.

SHRADER RUSHING INTO RECORD BOOKS
• QB Garrett Shrader scored his sixth rushing touchdown of the season in the win against Army. That total ties him for the team lead with RB LeQuint Allen Jr. and ranks tied for eighth in the nation.Â
• Shrader now has 29 rushing touchdowns at Syracuse, which tie for fourth on the school leader list. The only 'Cuse quarterback to score more rushing touchdowns was Eric Dungey (35). Shrader's 29 rushing touchdowns also tie for eighth on the ACC record list for rushing touchdowns by a quarterback.
MOB DOING MOB THINGS
• Syracuse's defense ranks in the top 20 in the nation in several categories after the first four weeks of the season.
• In addition to ranking in the top 15 in total defense and scoring defense, the Orange rank third in defensive touchdowns (3), 11th in fumbles recovered (4), eighth in kickoff return defense (12.00 ypr.), sixth in passes intercepted (6), 12th in team passing efficiency defense (102.12), 18th in team sacks (3.25 per game) and eighth in turnovers gained (10).
• In addition, Syracuse leads the nation in red zone defense. Opponents have had nine opportunities in the red zone and have converted on four of those chances (.444).
• Syracuse is allowing 10.8 points per game, which is its lowest mark through the first four games since 1983. The Orange gave up 10.0 points per game in the first four contests of that season.
