LAST WEEK:
After knocking off Maryland in three tough sets to begin the weekend, head coach Leonid Yelin claimed career victory number 500 following a 3-1 win at Pittsburgh. With the match tied at 1-1 against the Panthers, SU rallied from eight points down to win the third set and held off set point for the Panthers in the fourth to claim the victory. Syracuse more than doubled Pitt in team blocks (15.0-7.0) and outhit the Panthers .313 to .191.

Against Pitt, she matched season highs of 18 kills and 12 digs while adding three service aces and five blocks. Sophomoree Monika Salkute had a solid weekend with 15 blocks, including a season-best eight at Pittsburgh. For the two matches, she averaged 2.13 blocks per set.

SCOUTING THE COMPETITION:
Georgia Tech: The Yellow Jackets (7-13, 1-7 ACC) are currently on a five-game losing streak, with the last four by straight sets, which includes a loss to then-ranked No. 24 Duke. Georgia Tech's last win came at home against No. 18 Florida State in four sets, marking the Seminoles only loss in conference play this season. Jennifer Percy leads the squad with 221 kills and 3.20 kills per set. Quinn Evans is next in line with 132 kills and tops the team with a .309 hitting percentage.
