CINCINNATI - The goal of making the BIG EAST Tournament remains in reach for the Syracuse men's soccer team. The Orange is locked in a three-way duel with Rutgers and DePaul for the BIG EAST Red Division's final postseason berth heading into its regular-season finale against Cincinnati on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. at Gettler Stadium.
Syracuse, Rutgers and DePaul all have three points in the league standings. LAST TIME OUT
Syracuse put forth a solid effort against second-ranked Louisville on Oct. 27 in its home finale. After falling behind 1-0 early, the Orange responded by tying the match before halftime. Sophomore Jakob Karlgren netted the equalizer, his first goal of the year, off a serve from junior Nick Roydhouse. But it was the Cardinals that recorded the only goal of the second half to earn the victory.
ROYDHOUSE REACHES DOUBLE DIGITS
Roydhouse became the first Orange player to reach the 10-point mark this season with his assist against Louisville. On the year, he has four goals and two helpers. He leads the Orange in points and goals. His two assists are also tied for the team lead. For his career, Roydhouse has 23 points, including 11 assists.
SCOUTING CINCINNATI

THE SERIES WITH CINCINNATI
This will be the sixth time the Orange and the Bearcats have squared off on the pitch. The Orange leads the all-time series, 3-2, with both sides defending their home turf. Syracuse posted home wins in 2005 (2-1), 2007 (1-0) and 2009 (3-0). The Bearcats shut out the Orange 3-0 in its first trip to Gettler Stadium in 2006 and defeated Syracuse 1-0 there in 2008.
