Rodriguez Earns Costa Rica U-21 Call Up

Syracuse. N.Y.- Rising sophomore Bryson Rodriguez has been called up to the Costa Rican U-21 National Team, set to compete in the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games July 30-Aug 7 in Santo Domingo, Domincan Republic.
Rodriguez, a midfielder, has appeared in 11 matches for the Orange with four career starts. He logged 538 minutes as a rookie and scored one goal, the game-winner, against ACC foe Boston College on Oct. 3, 2025.
Native to Liberia, Costa Rica, Rodriguez has previously represented the Costa Rican Youth National Team at both U19 and U20 levels, helping secure semifinal appearances at both the U19 UNCAF Tournament and U20 CONCACAF Tournament.
Rodriguez and the squad are slated to take on Cuba team at 7:00 pm ET, then facing Panama on Saturday August 1 at 4 p.m. followed by a matchup against Columbia on Monday August 3 at 4 p.m.
